Resize and aspect workflow

Resize video online with a dedicated aspect-ratio page

How this resize page works

The page keeps the video-resize task explicit: upload one source clip, choose the frame strategy, set the target canvas, then download the finished MP4 output.

  • Upload one source video and keep the resize task attached to a single queued media job.
  • Choose the resize strategy before dispatching so the output matches the actual delivery goal instead of using a hidden default.
  • Review the generated MP4 preview and download the reframed result when processing completes.

Which resize mode to use

Different layouts solve different delivery constraints, so the page should explain the modes instead of treating them as arbitrary technical toggles.

  • Black bars keep the full frame visible and are useful when preserving the original image matters more than filling the canvas edge to edge.
  • Blur background keeps the subject visible while filling extra space for social or vertical formats without harsh empty bands.
  • Crop is best when the target frame must be filled fully and the user accepts trimming edge content to keep focus on the subject.
  • Stretch should be used sparingly when exact fit matters more than geometric accuracy.

When resize is the right page

This page is strongest when the user needs reframing, aspect-ratio correction, or social-format delivery rather than pure container conversion.

  • Prepare horizontal clips for vertical, square, or platform-specific canvases without leaving the same workflow.
  • Adjust recordings, interviews, demos, and product clips when the next platform expects a different aspect ratio.
  • Use the resize page before compression, GIF export, or publishing when canvas shape is the main constraint.
